Kanto Pokemon League Gym Leaders

Pewter City Gym Leader: Brock (Alternate: Flint)
Pokemon: Geodude, Zubat, Onix
Brock (or Flint) has about level 10-12 pokemon, but can be easily defeated by water types. The prize in this Gym is the Boulder Badge.

Cerulean City Gym Leader: Misty (Alternate: Sensational Sisters)
Pokemon: Staryu, Seel, Starmie
Misty (or the sensational Sisters) has pokemon about level 17-20, and is defeated easily by grass types. The prize in this Gym is the Cascade Badge.

Vermilion City Gym Leader: Lt. Surge
Pokemon: Voltorb, Pikachu, Raichu
Lt. Surge averages level 21-24 with his pokemon, and can be defeated by rock or ground type pokemon. The prize in this gym is the Thunder Badge.

Celadon Coty Gym Leader: Erika
Pokemon: Tangela, Weepinbell, Gloom
Erika averages level 29-30 pokemon, and can be beaten by fire type pokemon. The prize in this gym is the Rainbow badge.

Saffron City Gym Leader: Sabrina
Pokemon: Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam
Sabrina averages level 38-40 pokemon, and can be beaten with psychic type pokemon. The prize at this gym is the Marsh Badge.

Fuchsia City Gym Leader: Koga (Alternate: Janine)
Pokemon: Koffing, Venomoth, Weezing
Koga (or Janine) averages pokemon about level 40-44 and is weak against ground or psychic types. The prize at this gym is the Soul Badge.

Cinnabar Island Gym Leader: Blaine
Pokemon: Ninetails, Rapidash, Arcanine
Blaine's pokemon are around levels 48-50, and can be beaten by water types. The prize at this Gym is the Volcano Badge.

Viridian City Gym Leader: Giovanni (Alternate: Blue)
Pokemon: Rhydon, Meowth, Persian (Alternate: Arcanine)
Giovanni's (or Blue's) pokemon pack a real punch at levels 52-55. The prize here is the Earth badge.

Violet City Gym Leader: Falkner

Azalea City Gym Leader: Bugsy
